We believe in the importance of giving back to communities where we live and work. Through NLC’s Community Donations Program, we provide donations of $1,000 to charities and non-profit organizations that are making a positive impact at a local level.
Registered charities and non-profit organizations are eligible to apply for NLC’s Community Donations program. Programs and projects must have an impact in Newfoundland and Labrador in the areas of Social Responsibility, Food Security, Mental Health and Community Wellness, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion or Environmental Sustainability.

How to apply

Eligible charities and non-profit organizations must fill out the NLC Community Donation application form. Applications are accepted four times per year. If you apply after the deadline, your application will be accepted for the following round. Approved applicants must wait a full year before applying again.

To date, $20,000 has been donated through the program to support programs and initiatives in key areas including food security, mental health and community wellness, diversity, equity, and inclusion, social responsibility, and environmental sustainability.
