Social Responsibility

We take our mandate seriously and are committed to ensuring the safe and responsible sale, distribution, and regulation of beverage alcohol and cannabis. As a responsible retailer, it’s important that we provide our customers with proper information, tools, and programs to help them make positive beverage alcohol and cannabis consumption choices. In the same manner, we are dedicated to improving staff education and training to ensure public safety, as well as supporting community partners working to prevent underage drinking and cannabis use, and impaired driving.

Safe Ride

Our Safe Ride program encourages event attendees to make responsible choices when consuming alcohol or cannabis and provides transportation options to get home safely. Check 25

Our staff and agency store staff are trained to ask for government issued identification from any customer that appears to be 25 years of age or younger. In addition, staff will refuse service to those who appear impaired, as well as to anyone suspected of purchasing alcohol for those who are impaired or underage. We take these measures seriously to ensure that alcohol is sold only to those who consume it legally and responsibly.

Know The Risks

Unlike products from the legal market, illegal cannabis is not tested or regulated. Without accurate labelling or quality controls, there’s no way to know what you’re consuming, putting you and others at serious risk. Our Know the Risks campaign focuses on raising awareness on the risks of consuming illegal cannabis products.
