Current licencees may apply to the NLC for Secondary Licences, including Patio and Catering Licences, as well as amendments to their existing licences.
If you would like to add a patio or outside area to your existing licenced premises you must submit a completed application and one set of detailed plans, drawn to scale, showing the proposed patio and the adjacent premises.
A Catering Licence may be issued to any person who is, then, the holder of a permanent liquor licence, if that person is approved for the purpose by the Board. A Catering Licence authorizes the licencee to sell for consumption on any premises during the period prescribed in the licence, spirits by the glass and wine or beer by the glass or opened bottle with food which is to be supplied by the licencee in the form of meals by way of an off premises catering service.

Upon receipt of an approved Catering licence, you must complete and submit a Notification of Use of Catering Licence form below for all planned functions.
If you wish to extend your licenced establishment’s footprint by attaching an area to your existing premises for a particular date(s), you must submit a completed application that has been signed off by the relevant fire, municipal, and police authorities along with a plan, drawn to scale, showing the extension.
If you currently hold a Lounge, Restaurant/Lounge, Club or Special Event Licence and wish to have minors on your licenced premises, you must submit a completed application.
If you would like to conduct structural changes to your licenced premises you must submit a completed application and a floor plan, drawn to scale, of the proposed changes.
As per the Liquor Licensing Regulations, free alcoholic liquor cannot be provided to a patron or guest on a licenced premises, and minimum drink prices must be adhered to.
However, if you are interested in holding a Sampling Event that is sponsored by a supplier or sales representative at your licenced establishment, you may submit a request to us, via email or letter, including the following information:
