The Newfoundland and Labrador Liquor Corporation (NLC) administers the Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) program, which allows eligible Canadian beverage alcohol producers to sell and ship their products directly to consumers in Newfoundland and Labrador.
The program is available only to producers located in Canadian provinces or territories that have a reciprocal Direct-to-Consumer agreement with the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Eligibility
To be eligible for a DTC Authorization, producers must:

Hold a valid licence to manufacture beverage alcohol in Canada.

Hold a valid licence to sell beverage alcohol in their home province or territory.

Be located in a participating jurisdiction with a reciprocal DTC agreement.

Receive written authorization from NLC before commencing direct-to-consumer sales in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Authorized Producer Responsibilities
Authorized producers are responsible for:

Managing all customer orders, payment, shipping and customer service.

Ensuring products comply with all applicable federal and provincial legislation.

Meeting NLC pricing requirements, including applicable mark-up and container deposits.

Submitting quarterly sales reports and remittances to NLC, including NIL reports where no sales have occurred.

Maintaining all required licences and notifying NLC of any changes to authorization information.
Failure to comply with program requirements may result in suspension or revocation of a DTC Authorization.
